Excellent build quality

I was very impressed with the overall quality and feel of this product. The remote control is also of good quality and has a reasonable level of functionality. It is ideal for the bedroom (which I guess it it's intended location since it's a clock radio) - but the volume would be too low for a large room. I particularly like the auto-brightness option for the LCD screen, so it's not too bright at night.

Both the DAB and iPod functions work well. It has been a while since I'd last had a radio with DAB and I'd forgotten how good it is. Although, I guess the number of stations available depend on your location.

Overall, I'd give this unit a big thumbs up. Definitely money well spent.

Good product, slightly spoilt by the display. The numbers of the clock are a bit small, and even using the 'auto' function, it's hard to get the brightness of the display right.

However, the four alarms work brilliantly, the sound quality is excellent, and the unit feels very well built.

Nice looking & well made product. Mine arrived without any operating instructions in the box. This is quite a complicated product when you take into account all the functionality. Fortunately an instruction manual is available to download off the manufacturer's web site, but unfortunately this is only the 'quick start' guide! I had to figure most of it out for myself!

really good clock radio alarm

Just received this. As a clock radio it is perfect for me. I needed an easy to use alarm system yet with some flexibility i.e. different alarms for different days. I particularly wanted a display which could be adjusted according to how light/dark it was in the room (unlike another reviewer, I am really pleased with the auto setting because my old clock radio was very bright and this is much, much less annoying - any darker and I would not be able to read the display when I woke up in the night). I wanted to be able to listen to a variety of DAB radio stations which are easy to access (or my ipod). It needed to be small and neat and simple to operate. This Pure chronos idock series 2 covers everything for me. It is also easy to set up as mentioned in other reviews and very intuitive to operate. I would not recommend this as your main music system as the sound quality isn't good enough, particularly at low or high volume. But this is basically a luxury alarm clock and for the price, the sound is quality is fine/good for me when I'm waking up/going to sleep, in my bedroom. (The sound quality is streets ahead of the old sony clock radio I am replacing.) I'm really pleased with this.
