I cannot recommend this workout enough. Never, in a million years, would I have chosen this DVD without reading all the rave reviews it's received. I am a Davina devotee so, the fact that I have used this regularly for the past few weeks is a testament to it's credibility.

I don't wish to go over old ground but, in the interests of providing a balanced review, I will give an overview of the DVD with some commentary on the positive and negative aspects of the workout.

This DVD is high energy and, mostly provides a great workout. Deanne is an excellent instructor: upbeat but not irritating. Some of the moves are high impact, so if you are new to exercise or a bit cautious due to injury then either, give it a miss or take it easy. Some people have commented that this is difficult to follow or a bit to high energy for a beginner. I would agree but, stick with it as, the steps become second nature after a few sessions. There are a range of internsity options to follow throughout the workout so it's not all or nothing!

Warm up: short high energy aerobics section that give and indication of what is to follow.
Aeroburn: I would describe this section as a fusion of dance meets aerobics. Do not expect a pure dance routine and you won't be disappointed.
BPM: a dance section. personally I do not use this section at all. I find it slow and boring but, I daresay, others will disagree. A tidy little dance section that delivers 15 mins of fun.
Beatbox: A combat/boxing inspired section. Although, not as intense as 'Aeroburn' it is a decent little workout when combined with the 'Aeroburn' section.
Below the belt: Toning section that works abs including press ups and the dreaded 'plank'
Cooldown: stretches and, erm, a cooldown. Not the most comprehensive strectching section, I've come across, but perfectly adequate.

I personally find Deanne's cueing easy to follow: all moves are demonstrated before being performed and you literally have to follow what you see, which, if you have attended an aerobics, you will be used to this.

The music is really good for a workout and well thought out. In fact, I would say the music motivates me to put the DVD on as much as the workout itself. The setting is a bit tacky/cheesy with an obvious boxing ring vibe. Don't let this put you off! Ditto the whooping and cheering from the crew and the general chaviness of it all, which is actually more amusing than irritating.

One tip, I would suggest that when doing the workout, follow Deanne as her 'entourage' can be out of time and perform the wrong exercise. Not a big deal as this only happens occasionally.

I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewer that stated that this DVD turned her from couch potato to fitness enthusiast. This DVD is inspiring. For this reason, despite a few minor drawbacks, this DVD scores a well deserved 5 stars.

One of the best out there!!

Ok.She dances, she smiles, she is pretty, she is fit, she punches, she kicks and she still manage to speak after 49 minutes doing this!!!This woman is amazing. This is on my opinion one of the most complete fun workouts out there. I found the music one of the downsides of the previous DVD 'Pump it up' .The music was too club-hardcore.I know is from MOS but the music was really noisy and not for everybody. The tracks here are pop hits arranged for club,it is less aggressive compare to 'Pump it up' . The content is better as you have the floor exercises, the boxing section, the dance section and the high intensity. In each of the section there is an easy option performed by 1 of the crew members. However I wouldn't recommend this DVD to someone over 50 years old not fit. It's maybe too much.Good luck and enjoy!
Does what it says on the DVD cover

Love the DVD and the workouts, although, it's not that easy to follow. But after a bit of a practise you will feel as a part of their dancing team.
    Brilliant!!!!!

Love this workout DVD! If you really want to have a proper workout at home then the Ministry of Sound workouts are for you! I am always dripping with sweat after this and thats with only 3 or 4 parts, and always feel like I've done a workout the next day. The moves arent too difficult to pick up, but challenging enough to keep it interesting time after time. The music is brilliant and really make's you want to keep moving. Deanne isnt annoying at all in this, which is always a plus, and in fact very likable and keeps you going. This is a good DVD for beginners as well, as there is an easier option to follow, as well as a mega hard option (Not quite there yet but watch this space!)

The only thing I didnt like about the workout was the BPM Section which is full of proper dance moves, which are difficult to keep up with and not very aerobicly effective, but then this is the MOS so ultimatly thats what its all about, but the plus side is that there is plenty of other stuff in the other sections that it doesnt ruin the DVD at all.

    Great buy!!!!
    Good Fun
