It works, just not for as long as you might like

Mine came with no instructions and just the battery and cable in a plastic bag. Pretty straightforward to use, plugs into any USB port at one end (either the Wii, my PS3, PC or even the port on the back of my Virgin V+ cable TV box worked) and the other end has a mini USB connector that plugs into the battery.
There's a red LED that lights when it's charging and (I assume) goes out when it's charged. Charges quite quickly, usually about an hour or so and fits in the balance board snuggly with a little button that presses the sync button if you need to. I've read about some of these where they forgot to put that in and it makes it pretty useless!
Seems to last OK before it needs recharging - I use the board usually 4 times a week for maybe 45 mins each time and it lasts all week. That said, the set of batteries I got with the board when new lasted for two months before needing replacement.
One thing to point out to those that charge it from their Wii. It WILL charge when the Wii is "off". You have to configure you internet connection and WiiConnect24 so that when the Wii is turned off, it goes into standby (the LED on the Wii goes yellow, instead of red). That means the USB ports on the back still get power. |
Saves you shelling out on loads of batteries

| This does just what it says, I read mixed performance reviews but mine works just fine. |

It worked perfectly for me. I use the balance board everyday and it has never let me down. I recharge it at the end of the workout every few days and it usually recharges quite fast. A red lamp is on until it is charged. You can recharge without taking out the battery pack. There are no instructions, but you do not need any actually.
A very good buy! |

I ordered 2 rechargeable battery packs for the Wii balance board before Christmas, unfortunately only 1 got delivered. I chased Mad Catz between Christmas and New Year and they replied offering their apologies and promptly sent the 2nd.
I was impressed with their prompt reply, as I'm sure they must have been very busy with the run up to Christmas and would certainly use them again.
