Minecraft Train Station (REVAMPED)

WARNING: The station may not work past Minecraft 1.0 since redstone mechanics were changed. I would like to fix the problems people have been having (it still works fine in my single player world??) and make a tutorial video, but I have other obligations that are sadly requiring me to not furiously play Minecraft all day. So these things will be postponed for a while. I’m sorry my friends, and I will return one day. This is a video about the latest and greatest mine cart station I designed and built for the private SMP Minecraft server I run (no mods, all legit). This station is the successor to an older one I built back in Beta 1.2 (www.youtube.com Though it may not be as large and pretty, this fine station packs many features into a sleek, and aesthetically pleasing design, and uses all the new technology that has been added since 1.2 (the most notable being: redstone repeaters, minecart powered rail, and pistons). SAVE FILE: dl.dropbox.com I set up a couple signs up to explain it, but its probably going to still be very confusing, its really just a mess of wiring… So goodluck with that lol. FEATURES (basically everything from the old station, except cooler): -15 Destinations -Innovative piston track selector -Automatic cart collection and storage -3×3 piston door -Noteblock departure song -Sweet underwater river track (that took forever btw I don’t recommend building one lol) Please let me know what you guys think! Thanks, Bukky, Redstone Engineer

euronews reporter - Romanians angry at Schengen 'double standards'

www.euronews.net At the Albita checkpoint between Romania and Moldova, the police use sniffer dogs and the latest technology to control their borders. But despite spending one billion euros to meet the Schengen criteria — to allow its citizens to move freely across European borders — some EU members say Romania is still not ready to join. Suitcases are opened, vehicles are inspected and passports, visas and registrations are checked repeatedly. The aim is to make sure that the border between a European Union member and one outside the EU is secure.

Police departments from all over the country come to the GM Proving Grounds in Mesa, Arizona to test latest technologies in police vehicles for handling, power, safety and general ride enhancement.

Is there a tool/technology to access my yahoo mailbox as a database and make selected exports?

Best answer:

Answer by Greyolddave
The only way is to use a third party mail program like Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. These give you a lot more control. You do have to purchase Yahoo Mail Plus for $ 20 per year to be able to recieve and send from these programs. For complete instructions, from your email page click Help then Mail Help and then search for the term Outlook or for the program that you choose. Complete step by step instructions are in these tutorials.

For more information, please visit: www.weknowveins.com Approximately 30 million adults in the United States may suffer from treatable, symptomatic, superficial venous insufficiency. Many of these patients as well as their primary care or specialty physicians may not be fully aware of the advances made in the treatment of venous insufficiency in the last 5-10 years. Since 2000, vein stripping has been replaced by endovenous closure procedures as the preferred treatment of patients with symptoms related to saphenous vein and other superficial venous insufficiency. Many patients once thought to have untreatable venous problems may now be excellent candidates for endovenous closure.

Question by : How did advances in technology influence 15th and 16th century Europe?
What were some major inventors/inventions/advancements in technology in the 15th and 16th century that influenced European trade and exploration?

Best answer:

Answer by poornakumar b
1. Printing: after the first Gutenberg bible things were not he same (like people now unable to recall what it was like before the cell-phones, a mere two decades ago). Information dissemination, free access at affordable cost led to hunger for more knowledge which the Church (standing in the way to true knowledge) failed to control although they too benefited with many bibles at cheaper cost.
2. Telescope: Initially the ‘religious’ didn’t want to apply their eye to the telescope for the fear of being tricked by the ‘devil’. But many could see the Jovian satellites (‘Moons’ if you prefer) in orbit and modeled the Solar system of planets accordingly. A common man could visualise it without the need to consult a ‘preceptor’. What he saw is actually what is there before the eyes.
3. Though the Mariner’s compass was in use, its application was not to its full potential. Navigation as a science took off in those years following the expeditionary voyages, with no more mumbo-jumbo of the edge of the world and keep falling off the Earth.
I just named three. But these technologies spurred ‘Science’ the fruits of which we reap today.
Also a major technology is a turning point in sociological sense. The younger set would question the staid views of the older men. While it is difficult for the older to jettison their cozy beliefs, they can’t cope with the young ones’ attitudes and change in values. Tolerance, open mindedness and adaptability are demanded of them. The stagnant pool must be channeled to allow free flow of freshness. This paves way for further progress. Newer methods yield to increased productivity, cheaper goods and services as promised by technology. The hunger increases.
A major technological break-through causing social change (milder to upheaval) happens after a certain interval with lesser such changes having no such effect. So in the ancient times a hundred generations lived without change. But later the changes gained momentum leading to recasting of the societal value systems across a few generations. Now the pace is faster and in ‘a life time’ there are three (I saw my nonagenarian father’s life) and it is too fast for comfort in change.
In 15th &16th century when the technology overthrew all shibboleths in Europe particularly, it laid the foundation and prepared the ground for the ensuing industrial revolution two centuries later. There are many cultures, civilizations from the earliest times but harnessing the technology for society’s needs came about only in that period in Europe, thus reducing other claimants to zero. Technology is what affects the commoner by putting power in his hands. It may be a printing press, camera, car’s steering or cell phone. Science can’t do that unless it becomes a technology. BTW no aristocracy or feudal lord can stop it.
