I had a Braun for 7 years but foolishly decided to try and purchased a rotary shaver. What a mistake and only after 4 weeks i gave it to my dad who loves it but he has used a rotary all his life. I purchased the Series 3 because of the great price it was advertised through Amazon and the "flash" TV advertising campaign marketed at the time. It better than expected and i will never switch away again.

For years a user of rotary shavers with the inevitable neck rash and soreness as a result,I decided to try a foil shaver that boasted no tugging or discomfort. This Braun shaver does everything it is said to do. Comfortable, shaving closely, it is a pleasure to use. It takes a couple of weeks for the beard to adapt, and in that time, shaving takes a little longer, but it eventually gives a shave very close to a wet shave using a quality Gillette, so it is well worth persevering.

Impressive shave with hardly any burn or drying. It's got a good solid feel and is non-slip with a good grip. The charge lasts a long time makign it very convenient for weekends away. It doesn't pull or tug and is pretty much exactly what it says on the box.

This is the first electric shaver I have bought for some years, relying on wet shaving in the past. This Braun Electric Shaver does what it says on the box. Not sure abour the automated cleaning process though, only time will tell. But it gives a really close shave, useful when you are in a hurry.

Being a wet shaver all my life and having to shave every single day I wanted something quick and fast but close to a wet shave as possible. After reading all the reviews I bought the item with some doubts about it's claims. My doubts were misplaced, this little bad boy is AMAZING. I usually shave against the grain for a super close shave but I am left a little sore faced after. The Braun gives me a super close shave and 95% close to a wet shave against the grain but without any of the soreness. I have corse stubble and sensitive skin and this shaver has really been a treat to use. The cleaning station is spot on and recommended.
