Nice gift, pity about the case design

A good buy. Toothbrush casing is more robust and easier to clean than the other Braun models. Handy to have the travel case (finally they provide a case after many years ) but not sure whether this would get through an airport security check as the metal spike is not covered, it is a pity that the case stores all the toothbrush heads separately and could not store the brush with one of the heads attached.

I guess I was expecting it to be more intelligent....bit like a wii remote (not that I tend to shove these in my mouth...), so it would be able to pick up which direction with the tooth brush you were going (it doesn't); and also, I don't believe this tooth brush will stop me from brushing too hard (the original reason why I purchased it) as the "too hard" warning sign never comes up. That said, it definately cleans your teeth better than any of the other Oral B electric toothbrushes I have ever had, so overall, I'm happy.

Excellent toothbrush. Feels like building work going on inside the mouth but the brush does a very thorough job, hopefully saving me visits to the hygienist. Digital stuff with it too complicated for me.

I have been thinking for about a year as wether or not to buy an electric tooth brush. I have finally taken the plunge. It was the best decision I could have made. The Braun oral-B 5000 is a really good and extremely competent piece of equipment. My teeth feel and are so much cleaner than before, I just wish that I had made the decision to buy a lot sooner!

I haven't tried all brushing modes neither the 2 spare interchangeable heads but I'm very happy with this purchase. My teeth never felt so clean! Battery life seems fine too. I think the travel case is very practical.
