Can be beaten !

I purchased this for my dad, who knows everything !!! after playing with an original version and being blown away. You basically think of something and, by a process of 20 questions, this machine works out exactly what you're thinking.

It gets picked up all the time by whoever is in the house and really draws people together. It's a fantastic product and great value.

My only negative comment is that this `Version 2' has been beaten several times now by my family and the origianl version never was !

This is a fun toy which is picked up and put down, and passsed around the family. It amazes my 10 year old as he tries to think of things 20Q couldn't possibly know, but inevitably does!

I got this for my 8 year old son for Christmas and it kept us busy for a couple of days. It was good fun for both adults and kids but the novelty soon wears off.
It's actually quite clever

Think of a household object and answer simple questions to help the unit eliminate others from its large database of words using the yes, no, somtimes or unknown buttons.

I tried a few and it guessed them all - Lego brick, door, fence, fairy lights.

To guess the right answer it needs for you to answer questions to the best you can. One feature I like on this is the left and right scroll buttons on the side, which make the text scroll along faster. Inbetween questions the unit makes quirky quotes that can feel repetative and uninteresting after you've had a few goes.

Its not a bad little thing, I bought it for a stocking filler and it was just that.
Great fun for children and adults alike

I bought this for Christmas for a bit of fun, and to be honest didn't expect that much from it. But to my surprise, it is actually quite addictive, as you try to outwit it.

The design is clever yet simple. As in the traditional game of 20 Questions, you think of a thing (animal, vegetable, mineral or other), and answer a series of twenty questions as the game tries to deduce what you are thinking of. After twenty questions, it often guesses correctly - if it doesn't, it asks an additional five questions and guesses again. If it hasn't guessed by this point, it gives in admits that you've won.
Most of the time the game wins, but does not 100% of the time. Personally, I think this is a good thing, as it wouldn't be much of a challenge if it won every single game.

The game is very good at guessing - I was surprised at just how specific it is. On one of my first goes, I was thinking of a dog, and yet was surprised that it not only guessed dog correctly, but even suggested a particular breed of dog to boot!

Its main appeal will probably be to children, especially on car journeys, etc., but I think it will hold just as much appeal to adults, who will - like me - think "this will be easy to outwit" and yet finding it fiendishly clever.

Although the inbuilt software is quite clever, at the same time the game is refreshingly simple in today's world of i-pods, mp3 players and multi-function mobile phones.

All-in-all, great fun, and good value - it will keep you coming back for more. Also recommended is 'Simpsons 20Q', which is great fun for 'Simpsons' fans.
